THE DFWA WELFARE RELIEF TRUST FUND

The DFWA has established a Trust Fund for the welfare of members of the Association, Regular members of the Australian Defence, Reserves on full time duty or their widow(ers) and dependants who are in urgent and necessitous circumstances involving real hardship.

The Fund is controlled by three Trustees appointed by the National Council of the Association.  The Current Trustees are:
Major General Adrian Clunies-Ross (Retd) (Chairman)
    Commodore Philip Mulcare (Retd)
    Mr Geoffrey White

The normal means of assistance from the Fund will be in the form of an interest free loan to be repaid over a period to be determined by the Trustees.  However, direct money grants from the Fund can be made, where, in the opinion of the Trustees, circumstances are exceptional.

Application for assistance from the Fund will only be accepted on the approved application form obtainable from and submitted through a branch of the Association.  Branches can assist applicants with their applications and are then responsible for investigating each application and processing it.
